High shine is the difference here. Most of the Redone waxes finish natural. Quiksilver finishes glossy, and on dark hair the effect gets close to a wet look without the tackiness that usually comes with one.
That makes it the pick for slick backs, side partings and anything meant to look deliberate. Underneath the finish it is the same water-based formula as the rest of the range, so the hold is strong, it washes out with ordinary shampoo and there is no white residue as it dries.

Wax applied cold sits in lumps and never distributes properly, and wet hands turn it slippery before it reaches the head. Work from the back of the head forward, then comb through to keep the lines clean rather than pressing it in with your fingers.

Application tips
A fingertip's worth for short hair, roughly double that for anything past the ears. Emulsify until it turns from opaque to clear.
Damp hair gives you a smooth slicked shape, dry hair gives texture.
Work from the crown outward. If you are combing it back, do it in one pass while the wax is still wet rather than picking at it once it has set.
