Alcohol is what makes most setting products dry the hair out. Take it out and you get the same hold without the trade-off, which is the whole argument for this mousse.
Lavender oil, acai oil and batana oil are the three named ingredients, and they cover the moisturising side while the mousse handles the set. It is lightweight, so freshly finished braids stay neat rather than stiff, and it softens and smooths the hair as it dries.

Application tips
Freshly installed braids take this best, while the parting is still clean. Shake, dispense a handful of foam and press it over the braids in rows, following the direction they were plaited.
Smooth any loose ends between finger and thumb. Sit under a hooded dryer or tie down with a scarf until dry. Repeat on the perimeter as it loosens.
Results
Braids set neatly and hold that shape for days, with the frizz that usually appears by the second morning kept flat. Because there is no alcohol in it, the hair underneath stays soft rather than drying out under the set.
