Application tips
This works with a dryer, not instead of one. Take a walnut of gel on damp hair, spread it through the mid-lengths and ends, then comb it flat before any heat.
Blow dry in sections with a round brush and tension, following the brush with the nozzle. Finish with the iron if you want it sharper. Applying it to dry hair will not straighten anything and will make the surface tacky.
Results
Hair dries straighter than it would on its own, so the iron has less work to do and passes over each section once instead of three times.
