Super i is the stronger version of Dr. Miracle's temple and nape balm, with more of the Feel It tingle and a richer feel in the tub.

It is made for the fragile hair at the temples and nape, the areas that thin first under braids, weaves and repeated tension. What the balm does is condition that hair and the skin under it, keeping fine strands soft and pliable so they are less likely to break when a style pulls on them. It also soothes the feel of a dry, tight scalp, which is usually what is going on when the nape feels sore after a fresh install.

If the standard balm has stopped registering, this is the one to move up to. If you are new to the Feel It formula, start with a small amount and see how the tingle sits with you before you go heavier. Apply sparingly to clean edges and nape and massage in with the fingertips. Pair it with looser styling, because no balm compensates for a braid put in too tight.

Application tips

Temples and nape only. Those two areas take the most pull from braids, wigs and ponytails, and they are the whole point of the format.

Warm a small amount between finger and thumb, then press it into the skin along the hairline rather than dragging it through the hair. Nightly is fine here, since the amounts involved are tiny. Massage for a minute while you are at it.

Results

The skin at the temples and nape stays supple rather than dry and papery, which is what makes those fine hairs snap in the first place. Short hairs at the hairline hold moisture and stay flexible.

There is a warming sensation as it goes on, the Dr. Miracle's house effect, and it passes quickly. The balm melts on contact rather than sitting in a lump.
