The aloe version is the lighter-feeling of the two. Same 368g tub, same sealing job, with aloe vera bringing a cooling note that suits skin as much as it does the scalp.
On hair it adds shine to dull lengths and keeps frizz flat. On skin it does what petroleum jelly has always done: forms a barrier over dry patches so they stay covered and comfortable. Elbows, knees, hands after a sink full of washing up, the places that go rough first in winter.
It suits every hair type, and it is at its most useful on textured hair, where the ends dry out first and want something sitting over them to hold the moisture in.
A little is enough in both cases. Warm it between your fingers before applying and it spreads considerably more easily than it does straight from the tub.

Application tips
Wet first, seal second. Mist the section or apply a leave-in, then take a small scoop, warm it between your fingers and press it through the mid-lengths and ends. For skin it goes straight on: elbows, heels, the dry patch on a knuckle. Keep it off the roots if your hair is fine, and give the scalp a rest between applications rather than layering it nightly.
Results
Dry lengths feel softer under the hand within minutes and stay that way through the next day or two.
Aloe takes the edge off the heaviness plain jelly can bring, so the finish is less waxy and flyaways still lie flat. On skin the same film goes to work, leaving rough patches feeling more comfortable and looking less ashy.
