The brand philosophy
Jonathan Torch developed Curl Keeper at the Curly Hair Institute after working with curl clients who had adverse reactions to proteins, oils, or silicones. The brand's central thesis: many curl-care problems aren't fixed by adding more product — they're caused by ingredients the cuticle can't tolerate. Curl Keeper formulations are intentionally minimal.
Every Curl Keeper product is sulphate-free, silicone-free, paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. The brand explicitly excludes proteins from styling products (rare in curl care) — making it ideal for protein-sensitive curlies.
