The Curlsmith Bond Repair line

Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve (£25 retail UK) is the brand's headline product — a maleic acid + cysteine bond-repair treatment specifically formulated for curl patterns. Used weekly under heat for 15-20 minutes, it rebuilds broken disulphide bonds (the strongest bonds in hair). Comparable to Olaplex No.3 but with curl-specific moisture additions.

Most people see breakage reduction within 2-4 weeks of weekly use. After 8 weeks, length retention improves visibly. Stop weekly use once breakage is back to baseline — maintenance every 2-3 weeks is sufficient long-term.
